Comprehensive eye examination for contact lens wearers will include additional testing such as suitability of the cornea curvature, cornea health and tears profile. Regular examinations with the optometrist will ensure that the lenses prescribed are appropriate for optimal vision, comfort and eye health.

Eye disease screening will include assessment of the health status of the eyes to detect the presence of disease or other abnormalities such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts and macular degeneration. With this early detection, risk for permanent vision loss could be avoided.

Corneal Reshaping Therapy (CRT)
Corneal Reshaping Treatment (CRT) is a non-surgical vision correction alternative. CRT is a therapeutic process, which reshapes (flattens) the cornea using reverse geometry contact lenses. The CRT contact lenses need to be worn as a “retainer” for limited periods of time (usually while sleeping) to allow CRT patients to spend the majority of their daily lives without dependence on glasses or contact lenses.

Binocular vision assessment includes tracing any binocular vision disorder and suggestions on the appropriate treatment to remedy the situation. These may include glasses (task specific perhaps to reading or computer work), prism glasses prescriptions, modification of the school or work ergonomic environment, and vision therapy. Vision Therapy (VT), also known as orthoptics, is a treatment method to better control the function of the eye muscles and focusing mechanism.

A person with low vision has some useful vision but cannot see well enough to do certain activities such as reading or watching television even with regular glasses or contact lenses. Low vision rehabilitation is a comprehensive evaluation of the level of vision remaining, how efficiently the person using his vision and assessment of prescriptive optical aid in order to overcome the difficulties created by the vision problem.
